Hey there!  I’m Mindy.

Here’s my little family.  I’ve been married to Darryl for over 30 years, and together we are raising ten kids (so far!). Our kids have come into our family in all kinds of different ways and from lots of different places; and some of those places were really hard, so that definitely colors how we organize our lives.  Since this photo was taken, we have been blessed with two more grandbabies!

If we sat down and had coffee, you would soon learn that there are a few things I’m passionate about.  First and foremost, I love Jesus and try to live my life in a way that’s pleasing to Him.  My family is a top priority, and don’t get me talking about adoption unless you’ve got lots of time, because I just can’t hold back my enthusiasm!  Darryl and I are both musicians (we met in college as music majors) and music is an important part of who I am.

I’m a licensed and ordained pastor.  I direct our community choir, and I was in education for almost 30 years.  Darryl and I spend time in Africa every year, supporting an orphanage as well as training and encouraging pastors.  I love public speaking, especially when I get the chance to talk about my passions.  I love to write and have a couple of books that have been percolating for years–maybe someday I’ll have time to finish them!
